LOMO

Two posts in a row?  WHAT?

I know.

I feel like I didn’t do yesterday’s post much justice.  As a matter of fact, I was pretty distracted while I was typing it, plus the tablet I was using decided to rearrange the formatting when I switched from a WiFi signal to 4G.  It’s my own fault for being impatient, but ya know, I don’t care.  I have learned to not let a notion escape me, and if I wait too long, the escape route sits wide open.

So, as you know if you read yesterday’s post, this week is week 12 of the Dogwood 52 Photo Challenge, which is “Transportation.”  I knew I had a lot of pics to choose from, and I hardly do the topic any justice using only the ones I have ready to post right now, but still, I went out to shoot some more this morning (as I promised I would), sore as hell from the trainer appointment yesterday, and generally hating every muscle in my legs right now.

But, before we start in on today’s photo adventure, let’s take a look at some of my Immortals that already exist… Transporting through the Art Box Archives.  See what I did there?  Wink, wink

See?  I suddenly have a “thing” for speedometers.  This one is my Da’s Yamaha V Star 1100.

Loosely using this photo in the “Transportation” theme.  Hey, public transport is transport nonetheless.

My favorite mode of transport, my Chucks, and my car tire… If you haven’t guessed it, I drive a Kia Soul (see what I did there?  wink wink).  His name is Sodapop Curtis and he’s awesome.

Which brings us to the photos I shot this morning in Grand Pacific Junction.  My aunt and uncle have a Celtic shop there (insert shameless plug here), and I ended up getting to visit with my aunt for a few minutes before the shop opened up, which turned out to be good because TA DA!  It’s her birthday today!  Sorry I killed you, two birds.  In an added bonus, GPJ is also on Boyfriend’s route so I was able to see him and his big old truck, too.

This photo has exactly zero to do with the theme this week, but the mannequin in the window almost made me tinkle when I saw it, so I shot it and took it home and creeped it up even more.  So, yeah.

Back to the theme though.

So, there you have it, today’s contribution to the transportation theme.  I am nonplussed by how many shots I managed to pop off today having not had a sip of coffee at the time, and I am increasingly shocked at how articulate I am right now while typing this, having only had one cup.  I am a coffee junkie, that’s a fact.  I’m about to transport my ass to Dunkin Donuts for a tub of raspberry flavored coffee, one cream one sugar.

Wait, for a tub I may need more sugar…

Until we meet again, cohorts,

~Melicious~

P.S. I have not forgotten about our friend Gracie Lynne Nobody, and I am officially changing her name to Gracie Lynne Anybody because it fits her so much better.  You’ll see.  Eventually.
